Mille Lacs Band Apprenticeship Application
April 10th 8am - April 24th 7pm

This Apprenticeship is intended to go from June 1, 2026 through May 31, 2027.

There will be a bi-weekly stipend in the amount of $1,500 for a grand total of $39,000.

There will be weekly classes, weekly one on one with a mentor,

weekly video & written reports, independent study and other opportunities.

The focus will be the Funeral, Naming and Sweatlodge Talks. Rosetta Stone will be used.

Eligibility Requirements:

  1. Mille Lacs Band Member or Descendant

  2. Resident of Mille Lacs Band District 1 or 2a

  3. Strong, Independant Motivation

  4. Attend every ceremony and class the Mentor does which includes but is not limited to Namings, Invocations, Funerals, Fasting Camp, Sweatlodges and others at locations between Red Lake, MN and Sault Ste. Marie Michigan.
